Ghostie’s Garden Oxymel
This oxymel is in honor of my sweet Ghostie girl who passed away on June 4, 2024. She found my best friend and I in the woods on a hot September day when we were looking for ghost pipes (hint at where she got her name) and claimed us as her guardians. She settled into my life and brought me so much joy and constant laughter. I never knew I could love a rabbit as much as I loved her! Maybe she was more of a guide than a rabbit. Maybe she was a ghost all along…whatever she was, she was a shining light in my life. ☀️
The grim reality is Ghostie was most likely discarded in the woods by her previous owners. Unfortunately this is a common theme with rabbits. In Columbus, Ohio there is an amazing rabbit rescue who takes these orphaned rabbits that are left to die and they rehabilitate them and find them their furever homes. $5 of each bottle sold will be donated to Ohio House Rabbit Rescue in honor of my Ghostie Girl ♥️
All of the fruits and herbs in this oxymel are from my garden, grown with love and tending to by Ghostie before she passed. The guardian of the garden, she loved frolicking through the rows and chewing down anything that stood in her way. I didn’t get to share the berries with her, so I want to share them with you all. 🐰
The drawing on the bottle is one I did of her, she inspired me in so many ways…one just happened to be sketching her!
